AG/CAD Designer - Packaging / Corrugated
Location - West Bromwich
Salary - Dependent on experience
Hours - 8.30 - 5pm (Monday to Friday)

This is to work for a leading packaging manufacturer who innovative, high-quality, cost-effective corrugated cardboard packaging.
Overview
The role will see you working on packaging projects for some of the world's biggest brands across a wide range of market sectors.
Ideally from a Structural Design / Packaging background, you will be able to produce and communicate creative ideas which are fit for manufacture, using AG/CAD.
The Technical side of the role is very important to the business i.e. it's about understanding the materials they use and the machines they will go down in the factory, so the candidate will be encouraged to spend time in the factory to get a good understanding of the production processes.
Job description
Interpret design briefs to develop and produce innovative packaging designs for manufacture.
Produce high quality customer samples for presentation and approval.
Produce printed graphic mock-ups.
Communicate great ideas through sketching, mock-ups, visuals and presentations.
Convert these great ideas into manufactural packaging solutions.
Work with production experts to create efficient and cost effective solutions.
Ensure production ready files are processed to the required quality standard and procedure.
Understand and follow the department procedures.
To attend customer meetings and presentations when required.
To support all members of the design team to ensure an efficient working environment.
Ensure equipment is maintained to highest possible standard.
Carry out training within the section as required.
To take responsibility and be pro-active within your role.
100% office based (some off site visits to customers may be required)Qualification & Experience
At least 2 years experience in a structural packaging CAD environment.
At least 2 years experience in CAD software (ideally AG/CAD), Adobe CS and Microsoft Office.
Will consider someone who has used Kasemake, ArtiosCAD, ImpactCAD
Corrugated experience would be an advantage, but not essential.
