SEN Teacher
Prospero Teaching is working with a specialist SEMH provision in the Farnborough area to recruit a dedicated and resilient SEN Teacher (QTS) for a September start. This is a permanent opportunity within a supportive and structured setting designed to meet the needs of pupils with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.
In this role, you will teach KS3‑aged pupils following a primary‑style curriculum, adapting learning to suit individual needs and focusing on both academic progress and emotional development. The setting prioritises relationship‑building, consistency, and creating a safe environment where students can re‑engage with education.

The Role:
Deliver a primary curriculum to KS3 pupils within an SEMH setting
Plan and deliver structured, differentiated lessons
Support pupils with emotional regulation and behaviour needs
Build strong, consistent relationships with students
Create a calm, safe, and supportive learning environment
Work closely with teaching assistants and pastoral teams
Track pupil progress and adapt approaches accordingly
Promote engagement, confidence, and independence
Follow safeguarding and school policies consistently
Ideal Candidate:
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching primary or KS3 pupils
Strong interest in working within an SEMH or SEN setting
Confident behaviour management and de‑escalation skills
Patient, resilient, and adaptable teaching approach
Able to differentiate learning effectively
Committed to supporting pupils' emotional and academic development

Working Pattern: Full‑time
Contract Type: Permanent
Pay Rate: £32,916 - £51,047 per annum (M1-U3)
Key Stage: KS3 (Primary Curriculum)
Experience, Training & Safeguarding:
QTS required
SEMH or SEN experience strongly beneficial
Safeguarding training can be provided
