Shift Engineer (Multi-Skilled)
Location: Aylesbury
Salary: Up to £48k per annum (DOE) Benefits
Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off (Days & Nights)
As a Shift Engineer, you will play a key role in maintaining production uptime across blow moulding machinery (Extrusion, Injection, and Stretch Blow Moulding) and associated plant equipment. You will work as part of a shift-based engineering team to ensure production continuity and high performance.
Key Responsibilities for this Shift Engineer role:
Maximise uptime of all production machinery and equipment
Diagnose and repair faults efficiently during breakdowns
Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities
Ensure all maintenance documentation and logs are completed accurately
Support continuous improvement initiatives within the plant
Ensure compliance with health & safety, quality, hygiene, and food safety standards
Collaborate with production teams to minimise disruption and improve efficiency
Undertake additional duties as reasonably requiredSkills & Experience Required for this Shift Engineer role:
Proven experience in a manufacturing environment (Plastics, Packaging, FMCG, Food, Beverage, Pharma)
NVQ Level 3 or equivalent (Electrical qualification essential)
Strong multi-skilled engineering background (Electrical & Mechanical)
Experience working on automated production machinery
