The Role
As an MET Technician / Strip & Fit Technician, you will be responsible for dismantling, repairing, and reassembling accident-damaged vehicles to manufacturer standards, ensuring every repair is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality.
Your responsibilities will include:
Stripping and refitting mechanical, electrical, and trim components
Diagnosing damaged parts and identifying repair requirements
Repairing and replacing mechanical and electrical components
Carrying out repairs in line with manufacturer repair methods
Working closely with Panel Beaters and Paint Technicians to maintain an efficient workflow
Completing quality inspections before vehicle handover
Maintaining accurate workshop documentation
Adhering to all health and safety procedures
About You
To be considered for this role, you will ideally have:
Previous experience as an MET Technician, Strip & Fit Technician, Vehicle MET Technician, Strip Fitter, or Bodyshop Technician
A recognised qualification such as NVQ, VCQ, SVQ, ATA, or equivalent
Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge with an excellent understanding of modern vehicle repair techniques
Experience working within a busy Bodyshop or Accident Repair Centre
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality workmanship
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
A motivated, professional, and quality-focused approach
