Programmes Officer (18-month FTC)

Are you passionate about supporting global alumni programmes and delivering memorable events? This is a unique opportunity to join a prestigious team, shaping international alumni engagement and ensuring the smooth delivery of key initiatives. You will play a vital role in fostering connections, organising impactful programmes, and supporting the wider strategic goals of the organisation.

Programmes Officer Responsibilities

This position will involve, but will not be limited to:

Planning, coordinating, and delivering alumni reunions, convenings, and UK and international alumni events to strengthen community engagement and network building.
Managing relationships with alumni, serving as the first point of contact for fellows and alumni, providing excellent support and updating them on programmes.
Holding briefings for speakers and participants, ensuring all aspects of the programmes are seamlessly executed from inception to completion.
Supporting the organisation of the Global Programming portfolio, including programme design, logistics, and event evaluation.
Assisting with international travel arrangements for selected events, approximately once per year, ensuring compliance and smooth logistics.
Tracking programme progress, maintaining detailed records, and producing reports to inform future planning.
Collaborating with internal teams and external partners to enhance programme impact and visibility.

Programmes Officer Experience Essentials

Experience in event planning, coordination, or project management, ideally within a professional or academic setting.
Excellent organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, confident in engaging with senior stakeholders.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and support project delivery.
Experience with international travel logistics is desirable but not essential.
Location

This role offers hybrid working arrangements, with 2-3 days per week in the office. The organisation is accessible via major transport links; no onsite parking is available. Occasional international travel is expected, approximately once per year, to support global programme delivery.
