The Opportunity
We are recruiting for a Customer Account Administrator to join a leading manufacturing business. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and customer-focused individual to join a fast-paced team, managing customer accounts from order placement through to delivery while building strong long-term customer relationships.
Working closely with production, planning and logistics teams, you'll play a key role in ensuring customer orders are processed efficiently, delivered on time and managed to the highest service standards.
The Role
As the primary point of contact for a portfolio of customers, you'll oversee the complete order lifecycle while providing exceptional customer service and ensuring customer requirements are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage customer orders from receipt through to delivery.
* Liaise with production, planning and logistics teams to ensure on-time fulfilment.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with assigned customer accounts.
* Act as the first point of contact for customer enquiries and resolve issues promptly.
* Monitor order progress, raise customer complaints where required and coordinate resolutions.
* Prepare weekly and monthly customer reports.
* Maintain accurate customer records using CRM and ERP systems.
* Deliver a high standard of customer service while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
* Previous experience in a Customer Service, Customer Account, Sales Support or Order Management role.
* Experience working within a B2B environment.
* Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel & Outlook) and CRM/ERP systems.
* High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Desirable
* Experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
* SAP experience, particularly MTC and Materials Management modules.
