Senior Support Worker - Residential Care for Young People (EBD)
Location: Bury
Salary: £14.40 per hour (£28,080 per annum) + Sleep-in allowances (£6,655 annually) = Total £34,735 per year
Shifts: 2 on 4 off

Are you passionate about making a positive difference in young people's lives? Our client, a reputable provider of residential care, is hiring two Senior Support Workers to join their dedicated team in Bury.

These roles are based in two nearby homes, both currently 2-bed but soon expanding to 3-bed facilities, caring for young people aged 8 to 16 with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).

What you'll be doing:

Leading and supporting a team of Support Workers to deliver high-quality care

Building trusting relationships with young people, ensuring their safety and well-being

Assisting with daily routines, activities, and personalised care plans

Contributing to a nurturing environment that promotes growth and development

Ensuring compliance with all safeguarding and health & safety policies

Supporting the transition of the homes into larger, more accommodating spaces

What you'll bring:

Experience working with young people with EBD in a residential setting

Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate a team

Level 3 Children and Young People qualification or equivalent

A driving licence (essential)

Ability to undertake an enhanced DBS check (can be accepted via the update service)

Flexibility to work on a 2 days on, 4 days off shift pattern

Additional information:

Sleep-ins paid at £55 each, with an annual total of £6,655 on top of salary

Immediate onboarding available, with no fixed induction date
