Infrastructutre Security Engineer
for our customer a major energy/utilities provider we are seeking a Infrastructure Security Engineer based in Prague
Some onsite work is desired but not essential, team days should be attended around once/twice per month
Rate:400-412 per day
Responsibilities:
Understand business needs and assist in identifying, gathering, validating, and implementing functional and technical security requirements.
Assist in proof of concepts, technology evaluations, and solution design for new or improved infrastructure security capabilities.
Design, implement, configure, operate, optimize, and troubleshoot IT security solutions across infrastructure, cloud, endpoint, and security monitoring domains.
Work with infrastructure-as-code approaches where applicable to support repeatable, controlled, and scalable deployment of infrastructure security solutions.
Develop automated asset onboarding solutions that maintain security coverage, functional KPIs, and platform health across the full service life cycle.
Support the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of patching and vulnerability remediation processes across hybrid environments, including on-premises, cloud, server, endpoint, and third-party-managed infrastructure.
Interconnect IT security platforms and integrate them with third-party systems such as ITSM, CMDB, hyperscalers, data platforms, threat intelligence sources, and other enterprise services.
Automate repetitive tasks using scripts, APIs, workflows, and platform-native automation capabilities.
Actively use and collaborate through internal ITSM, BAU tracking, request, incident, change, and service management systems.
Develop and enforce security policies, baseline configurations, and system hardening standards.
Establish and maintain operational governance and standards for infrastructure and security tools.
Ensure adherence to internal policies, regulatory requirements, and compliance frameworks.
Create and maintain technical documentation, including security architecture diagrams, operational procedures, configuration standards, and troubleshooting guides.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and managed services providers to align security objectives with organizational goals.
Continuously enhance infrastructure security services to improve reliability, coverage, automation, efficiency, and business value for Alpiq.
Provide ongoing support, guidance, and training to internal customers.
