Title: 1st Line Support Engineer

Location: Bath (Hybrid)

Salary: Up to £27,000

Are you looking to build your IT career in a modern, technology-driven environment?

We're looking for a proactive and customer-focused 1st Line IT Support Analyst to join a growing IT team. This is an opportunity to go beyond traditional helpdesk support, gaining exposure to Microsoft 365, cloud technologies, IT security, automation and AI-driven processes.

You'll be the first point of contact for IT support across the business, helping users resolve technical issues while ensuring systems remain secure, efficient and well-managed.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Providing 1st line support via the service desk, Microsoft Teams and in person.
  • Managing user accounts, permissions and access across Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams and Azure DevOps.
  • Supporting onboarding and offboarding activities, including account creation and device setup.
  • Troubleshooting hardware, software and user issues.
  • Triaging alerts from Azure Monitor and Microsoft Defender.
  • Maintaining IT assets, software licensing and service desk records.
  • Supporting users remotely and delivering excellent customer service.
  • Working alongside an AI-assisted ticketing system, helping improve its effectiveness over time.
  • Identifying opportunities to automate manual processes and improve efficiency.

What We're Looking For

  • Passion for technology and helping people.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 (Teams, SharePoint, Exchange Online).
  • Organised, detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Understanding of IT support fundamentals and security best practices.

Nice to Have

  • Previous IT support or service desk experience.
  • Knowledge of Entra ID (Azure AD), endpoint management or networking fundamentals.
  • Experience working within an ITIL environment.
  • Interest in AI, automation and emerging technologies.
