Endur Architect - Contract Opportunity (6 months + Extensions up to 2 Years)

We are seeking a highly experienced Endur Architect to join a major energy trading and commodities organisation on a long-term contract engagement. This role offers an initial 6-month contract, with strong potential for extension up to 2 years.

This is a senior-level position where you will play a key role in shaping and delivering complex, enterprise-wide architecture solutions across trading platforms and associated systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the lead architect for a significant business domain or enterprise-wide capability, owning solution design end-to-end.
• Design and oversee E2E technical architecture across integration, security, hosting, and application layers.
• Provide architectural leadership for complex solution landscapes, ensuring scalability, resilience, and alignment with business goals.
• Diagnose and resolve highly complex, non-routine technical challenges, delivering practical and innovative solutions.
• Translate best practices from across industries to improve and simplify architectural frameworks and processes.
• Define, evolve, and govern architecture standards, policies, and procedures.
• Act as a subject matter expert, providing authoritative technical advice to senior stakeholders and business leadership.
• Drive the adoption of new solutions, tools, and ways of working to improve system efficiency and performance.
• Influence the redesign of business processes and data models, working closely with process owners and data stakeholders.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with senior business and technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment and trust.
• Mentor and develop junior architects and technical team members.

Mandatory Skills & Experience

• Significant experience as an Endur Architect within energy trading or commodities environments.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage and influence at all levels.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to tailor messaging for different audiences.
• Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Strong understanding of enterprise architecture principles, including integration, security, and infrastructure.
• Experience working across complex IT landscapes and distributed teams.
• Commercial awareness with the ability to link technology decisions to business value and outcomes.

Desirable/Optional Skills

• Experience working in large-scale, global transformation programmes.
• Knowledge of trading systems integration, data platforms, and cloud-based architectures.
• Exposure to architecture governance frameworks (eg, TOGAF or similar).
