Dornan Engineering Group is a leading international engineering contractor delivering high-value projects across Europe, UK & Ireland. Based in our Cork or Dublin office, this is an exciting opportunity to join our growing Estimating as an Electrical Estimator, supporting the delivery of our projects across Europe. This is a dynamic and commercially focused role where you will lead the preparation of accurate electrical cost estimates and support the successful delivery of high-value tender submissions.

Your day to day will include:

To prepare and collate tenders and source pre-project information by a given deadline.

Provide timely, accurate, competitive, and profitable estimates from enquiries stage to bid submission.

Follow up on submitted tenders.

Analysis of sub-contractor and vendor quotations, checking inclusions and exclusions.

To deal with clients at post tender meetings and conduct presentations.

Provide support and assistance to the wider estimating team.

Attend tender and follow up meetings when required.

All other reasonable tasks assigned to you from time to time from your manager.

About You

Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator within the engineering, construction, or MEP sector.

Experience working on hyperscale data centre projects across Europe, the UK, or other international markets is desired.

Ability to prioritize workload, knowledge of the teams' strengths and weaknesses

Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, tender documents, and employer requirements with a high level of accuracy.

Experienced in preparing detailed cost estimates, take-offs, and tender submissions for complex electrical installations.

Strong commercial awareness with the ability to identify project risks, opportunities, and value engineering solutions.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to collaborate with project managers, engineers, commercial teams, and clients.

Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing accurate, high-quality estimates.

Self-motivated and capable of working independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment.

Relevant qualification in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline.

Recognises own strengths and weaknesses and committed to ongoing professional development
