SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant – Primary School
Location: Totton and Dibden
Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Whether you're an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant, a support worker, care worker, youth worker, or someone with a background in supporting children or adults with additional needs, we'd love to hear from you.
We are seeking a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a child with SEN within a welcoming mainstream primary school. This rewarding full-time role offers the opportunity to make a genuine difference to a child's educational journey by providing the consistency, encouragement and support they need to succeed.
About the Role
Pay rate: £14.25 per hour
Working hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm (term time only)
Contract type: Full-time
Providing 1:1 support for a pupil with SEN
Supporting small intervention groups when required
Working closely with teachers and the wider school team to promote positive outcomes
Who We're Looking For
We welcome applications from:
Experienced SEN Teaching Assistants
Support workers and care workers
Youth workers, nursery practitioners, and learning support assistants
Individuals with personal or professional experience supporting people with additional needs
Candidates from all backgrounds who are passionate about helping children reach their full potential
You will need:
A calm, patient, and nurturing approach
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
At least two years' employment history
A Child DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one
