Year 2 Teaching Assistant - Jewish Prep School
Full-Time | Monday to Friday | 8:30am - 3:45pm (Fridays finish at 1:00pm)
Start Date: September 2026
Location: North Westminster, London

A well-regarded preparatory school in Westminster is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 2 Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2026.

This is a full-time, long-term opportunity, ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting children in Key Stage 1 and is keen to work in a school with strong values and a close-knit community.

The Role

You will work closely with the class teacher to support pupils' learning across the curriculum, both in small groups and on a one-to-one basis. The role includes assisting with classroom activities, supporting literacy and numeracy, and helping to maintain a positive and engaging classroom environment.

Working Hours

Monday to Thursday: 8:30am - 3:45pm
Friday: 8:30am - 1:00pm (early finish in line with the Jewish calendar)

Supportive and engaging - able to build positive relationships with children and encourage their learning
Proactive and reliable - willing to take initiative and support across the classroom
Strong communicator - able to work effectively with staff and pupils
Respectful of a faith-based environment and the school's Jewish ethos

Requirements

Experience working with primary-aged children (ideally Key Stage 1)
A positive, patient, and professional attitude
Good communication and teamwork skills
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
Availability to work full-time during term time
