Quantity Surveyor

Location: Birmingham

DCS currently seek an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a growing specialist contractor delivering projects across the UK.

This is a varied role combining commercial management with project co-ordination responsibilities, offering the opportunity to manage projects from award through to final account while working closely with clients, site teams, and senior management.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring projects are commercially successful, well-coordinated, and delivered in accordance with contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Manage projects from contract award through to final account, ensuring commercial performance and contractual compliance.
Prepare and agree valuations, variations, final accounts, cost reporting, forecasts, and cashflow management.
Review contract documentation and provide commercial and contractual support throughout project delivery.
Procure, manage, and administer subcontractors, including payments and final account negotiations.
Support dispute resolution and contribute to the continuous improvement of commercial processes.
Coordinate project documentation, programmes, permissions, and stakeholder communications from pre-construction through to completion.
Attend key project meetings and work closely with clients, operational teams, and site management to ensure successful project delivery.
Assist with health and safety documentation, pre-construction information, and project administration.
Maintain strong communication between commercial, operational, and client teams throughout the project lifecycle.About You

Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor, Project Surveyor, Commercial Surveyor, or Project Co-ordinator within construction, civil engineering, remediation, demolition, earthworks, or related sectors.
Strong understanding of construction contracts and commercial management.
Experience managing valuations, variations, CVRs, forecasts, and final accounts.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites when required.What's on Offer
