Accounts Assistant – Scunthorpe – Competitive Salary & Benefits

An established engineering business is seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to bolster their finance team. Reporting directly to the Management Accountant, this role is ideal for someone with experience looking for a fresh opportunity within a leading firm.

Key Responsibilities:
Processing sales and purchase invoices
Resolving purchase ledger queries
Reconciling supplier statements
Monthly BACS payment runs
Credit control
Weekly bank reconciliation
Journal entries
Processing and payments for weekly payroll
Processing starters, leavers, statutory payments and holiday pay
Required Skills & Experience:
Minimum 2 years experience working in a similar varied finance role
AAT qualification desirable
Strong data entry skills with attention to detail
Good knowledge of Excel and Microsoft packages
Excellent organisational and communication skills
Ability to meet deadlines
