Key Responsibilities:
As part of the Product Design team, you will:
Assist with new product development activities including 3D modelling, 2D detailing, BOM creation and technical datasheets
Work closely with engineering teams to ensure efficient data exchange and adherence to company standards
Support Product Lifecycle Management processes across multiple departments
Ensure manufacturing and assembly requirements are incorporated into designs
Develop and produce prototype samples, evaluating engineering feasibility
Collaborate with fabrication teams to achieve accurate, right-first-time production
Assist with the development of bespoke and non-standard products
Follow quality, ISO and health & safety procedures at all times
What we're looking for:
To be successful in this role, you'll have:
Previous mechanical design experience
Experience using 3D CAD software, ideally SolidWorks
Strong computer skills and a desire to continue learning
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
The ability to manage multiple projects effectively
A reliable and proactive approach to work
An understanding of electrical, optical or thermal engineering would be advantageousThis opportunity would suit an experienced Design Engineer looking to broaden their skills, or a developing Trainee Designer ready to take the next step within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.
