The successful candidate will have the opportunity to manage their own portfolio of audit clients while working closely with senior leadership and benefiting from clear progression opportunities.

The Role
As an Audit Assistant Manager, you will take responsibility for managing your own portfolio of audit clients while supporting a Senior Manager and Partners on larger and more complex assignments.
This position would suit someone who is already managing a portfolio of audit clients or an experienced Audit Senior looking to step into their first management role.
Key responsibilities will include:
Managing a portfolio of audit clients across a variety of sectors
Planning, leading and reviewing audit assignments from start to completion
Acting as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the audit process
Reviewing audit files and financial statements prepared by junior team members
Managing budgets, deadlines and workflow across your portfolio
Building strong client relationships and identifying opportunities to add value
Supporting the Senior Manager and Partners with complex assignments and advisory projects
Coaching, mentoring and developing Audit Seniors and trainees
Ensuring compliance with UK auditing and accounting standards
Assisting with business development activities and new client opportunities
RequirementsThe Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will likely have:
ACA or ACCA qualified
Strong audit experience gained within a UK accountancy practice
Experience leading audits and reviewing the work of junior staff
Existing portfolio management experience, or the ability and ambition to take this on
Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and auditing standards
Excellent client relationship and communication skills
Strong organisational and project management abilities
A proactive and commercial approach to client service
