HR Advisor (Temporary – Immediate Start)

Temporary role with potential to become permanent The Opportunity
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and respected organisation in the construction and infrastructure sector, with a strong track record of delivering complex projects across the UK.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and proactive HR Advisor to join a busy, friendly team on a temporary basis with an immediate start.
This is a varied, hands-on HR role where you will take ownership of the full employee lifecycle and play a key part in supporting both employees and management. Key Responsibilities
Act as the first point of contact for employee queries and support managers in resolving employee relations matters
Maintain and update HR policies, ensuring legal compliance and consistency across the business
Provide expert guidance on employment matters and HR best practice
Manage end-to-end recruitment, including advertising, screening, and supporting hiring decisions
Prepare offer letters, contracts, and oversee pre-employment checks
Coordinate onboarding and induction processes
Maintain accurate HR records (including absence, holiday, and leave) using HR systems
Support performance management and appraisal processes
Produce HR KPI reports and assist with disciplinary and grievance processes
Support occupational health coordination and compliance requirements
Assist with general HR administration and ad hoc projects
Provide occasional support with travel arrangements and internal coordinationAbout You
CIPD Level 5 qualified (or equivalent)
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a generalist HR role
Confident working independently and managing a broad workload
Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage at all levels
Comfortable handling sensitive information in line with GDPR
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Experience with HR systems (e.g. Breathe HR or similar) is desirableWhat’s on Offer
