HGV Technician 4 on 4 off nights
A leading organisation in the automotive industry is seeking a dedicated H.G.V Technician for night shifts at its Doncaster Depot. Offering a competitive hourly rate of £22.50, this role includes a 4 on 4 off night shift pattern from 18:00 to 06:30. Overtime is available and paid at time and a half, providing an excellent opportunity for additional earnings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Service and repair the fleet using appropriate tools and equipment safely and economically.
- Conduct routine and preventative maintenance in line with operating licence requirements.
- Complete job cards and service/inspection sheets accurately and legibly.
- Use PC diagnostics to identify faults and clear fault codes.
- Road test vehicles before and after repairs to ensure quality.
Skills, Experience, and Education:
Communication:
- Good verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with colleagues and customers.
Knowledge/Expertise:
- Technical qualification (City & Guilds or NVQ) or proven experience in vehicle repair and maintenance.
- Current driving licence is essential; LGV C+E Licence and Driver CPC are desirable.
Innovation:
- Ability to actively seek solutions to problems and work independently under pressure.
Business Impact:
- Flexibility to work early and late shifts if required, with shift allowance.
- Ability to manage own working time to meet strict deadlines and maintain high standards of cleanliness and tidiness.
