Are you looking for a school where you can truly become part of the community and make a lasting impact on children's learning? We are working with a welcoming and well-established primary school in Gateshead that is seeking a dedicated Key Stage 1 Teacher to join their team from September 2026 on a full-time, long-term basis.

The Role

You will take responsibility for a Key Stage 1 class and work closely with an experienced teaching assistant and the wider KS1 team.

Key responsibilities include:

Planning and delivering engaging lessons across the KS1 curriculum

Creating a calm, positive and inclusive classroom environment

Supporting pupils' academic, social and emotional development

Assessing progress and adapting teaching to meet individual needs

Building strong relationships with parents, carers and colleagues

Contributing to the wider life of the school community

Working Pattern

Start Date - September 2026

Contract - Full-time (term time only)

Hours - 8:30am – 3:30pm

What We're Looking For

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Experience teaching within a primary setting (ECTs welcome to apply)

Strong classroom management and communication skills

A creative and engaging approach to teaching

Commitment to inclusive education and pupil wellbeing

Ability to work effectively as part of a team
