A welcoming and supportive Junior School in Slough is seeking an experienced Year 6 Intervention Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis from September.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate educator who enjoys working with small groups and helping pupils make accelerated progress ahead of their transition to secondary school.
The Role
You will deliver targeted intervention sessions in:
Maths
Reading
Grammar
Classes will consist of no more than 10 pupils at a time, allowing you to provide focused support and make a significant impact on pupil outcomes.
This role is purely intervention-based and does not include class teacher responsibilities or PPA cover.
The Ideal Candidate
The school is looking for someone who:
Needs to have a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Has experience in KS2, ideally Year 6
Has a strong understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum
Can identify learning gaps and deliver effective interventions
Is confident preparing pupils for end-of-Key-Stage expectations
Builds positive relationships with pupils and staff
Is organised, proactive, and committed to raising attainment
