The Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading laboratory-based organisation, supporting site operations through effective maintenance and health and safety practices. You’ll play a key role in ensuring equipment, facilities, and systems remain safe, compliant, and fully operational.
This role would suit candidates working in these roles
Maintenance Technician, Facilities Technician, Site Maintenance Operative, Engineering Technician, Mechanical Maintenance Technician, Building Maintenance Technician, Maintenance Engineer
Your duties and responsibilities will be
Carry out planned and reactive maintenance activities across laboratory equipment and site facilities
Support the upkeep and repair of furnaces, extraction systems, and associated plant to ensure efficient operation
Assist with small projects including plumbing, repairs, and general site improvements
Work collaboratively with the maintenance team to prioritise workloads and support ongoing site operations
Promote and follow health and safety procedures, contributing to risk assessments and safe systems of workYou will have the following qualifications and experience
Previous experience in a maintenance role
Strong practical skills across general maintenance disciplines such as mechanical work, basic plumbing, or fabrication
Good awareness of health and safety legislation and safe working practices
