Child Contact Centre Coordinator

We are recruiting for a Child Contact Centre Coordinator to lead a well-established service supporting children and families across South Shields and the surrounding area.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a values-driven organisation and play a key role in delivering safe, structured, and supportive contact sessions for families.

Key Responsibilities

* Coordinate the day-to-day running of a busy Child Contact Centre

* Lead, supervise, and support sessional contact staff

* Ensure safe, high-quality supervised and supported contact sessions

* Work directly with children and families experiencing complex circumstances

* Manage safeguarding and risk in line with best practice

* Maintain strong relationships with families and partner agencies

Requirements

* Level 3 qualification in Childcare, Social Care, or related field

* Minimum 2 years’ experience in family support, social care, or children’s services

* Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection

* Experience working with families in conflict or challenging situations

* Excellent communication and organisational skills

Desirable:

* Higher qualification (e.g. Cert HE or equivalent)

* HCPC registration

Working Hours

* Full-time – 35 hours per week

* Alternate weekends (9am–6pm)

* Flexible midweek working

Salary & Benefits

* £29,000 – £34,000 (DOE)
