Required for our service in Tameside
£500 welcome bonus (£250 on successful completion of induction, £250 on successful completion of probation)
£32,857.50 per Anum (based on 37.5 hours per week)

Job Description:
As a Deputy Service Manager, you’ll play a vital role in the smooth running and development of our supported accommodation homes. Working closely with the Service Manager, you’ll lead daily operations, ensure high standards of care and compliance, and provide direct support to young people. You’ll foster a nurturing environment that promotes well-being, development, and future aspirations, while also supporting colleague development and embodying our core values in everything you do..
Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage daily operations of the home.
* Oversee and tailor support and safety intervention plans.
* Build strong relationships with young people, families, colleagues, and external agencies.
* Champion our ECHO® program, ensuring young voices are central to decision-making.
* Support colleague development through training, feedback, and guidance.
* Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
* Act as deputy to the Service Manager.
* Promote education, personal development, and life skills among young people.
* Promote the involvement of young people in decision-making processes, actively encouraging their participation and listening to their perspectives.
Requirements:
* Hold a Diploma Level 3/4 in Children, Young People, and Families practitioner.
* Hold or be willing to work Level 5 in Children, Young People and Families Manager or be willing to undertake this.
* Minimum 2 years’ experience working in children's social care, supported accommodation or similar setting.
* Knowledge of regulatory requirements, legislation, and best practices in supported accommodation, safeguarding and child protection.
* Proven leadership experience in a care or support setting.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with staff, young people, families, and external stakeholders.
* A compassionate and empathetic nature, with a genuine commitment to improving the lives of young people.
* Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines, and handle multiple responsibilities effectively.
* Flexibility to work on a shift basis.
