Job Description

This role involves working for a Boutique North east Firm providing expert legal advice and support on a broad range of commercial property matters. The successful candidate manages property transactions, leases, acquisitions and disposals, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and client requirements. The role demands a proactive approach to managing caseloads, drafting and negotiating documentation, and maintaining strong client relationships. Working within a busy legal team, the lawyer supports business growth by delivering high-quality legal services in a timely and efficient manner.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Advise clients on commercial property transactions including purchases, sales, leases, licences, and property development agreements.
Draught, review and negotiate a variety of commercial property documents such as leases, licences, deeds, and contracts.
Conduct due diligence investigations and prepare reports for clients on title, planning, environmental and other property-related matters.
Manage the entire transaction process from inception to completion, including liaising with clients, other legal professionals, surveyors and financial institutions.
Ensure compliance with current property law, regulations, and industry best practise.
Maintain accurate records of case files and ensure timely progression of work to meet deadlines.
Provide clear, concise and practical legal advice tailored to client needs and commercial objectives.
Contribute to business development activities by identifying opportunities and assisting with marketing initiatives.
Keep up to date with developments in commercial property law and relevant sectors.
Support colleagues and participate in team meetings and training as required.
