Exposure Management Analyst (Treaty Reinsurance)

I'm currently recruiting for an Exposure Management Analyst to join a highly regarded insurer operating within the Lloyd's and London Market. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with catastrophe modelling experience in treaty reinsurance who is looking to develop their career within a technically strong and collaborative environment.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting underwriting teams through the delivery of high-quality catastrophe exposure analytics, helping the business make informed decisions around risk and capital management.
The OpportunityThis role sits within a specialist Exposure Management function and offers exposure to catastrophe modelling, portfolio analytics, regulatory reporting, event response, and reinsurance analysis. You'll work closely with underwriting, actuarial and reinsurance teams, contributing to the ongoing development of exposure management capabilities across the business.
This position would suit an analytically focused individual who enjoys working with large datasets, catastrophe models and emerging technologies, whilst influencing business decisions through data-driven insights.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver accurate catastrophe exposure roll-ups across multiple portfolios.
Analyse and monitor treaty catastrophe exposures, ensuring risks are clearly understood and communicated.
Partner with Treaty Underwriters to review catastrophe model data quality, assumptions and outputs.
Support regulatory and management reporting requirements.
Assist in the development of exposure management systems, processes and analytics.
Provide support to the Outwards Reinsurance team with portfolio submissions and analysis.
Participate in catastrophe event response activities, including loss estimation and portfolio impact assessments.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the Exposure Management function.About YouTo be considered, you'll ideally have:
A minimum of 2 years' experience within catastrophe modelling, specifically supporting Treaty business.
Strong analytical, quantitative and problem-solving abilities.
Experience using catastrophe modelling software, with RMS being essential and AIR highly desirable.
Programming and data manipulation skills, ideally using Python and SQL.
Understanding of reinsurance structures and catastrophe recoveries.
Knowledge of Lloyd's, PRA and Solvency II frameworks.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
