Electrical Wiring Technician - Control Panels / Special Purpose Machinery
Location: Bishop's Stortford, easy access from the M11- Stansted Airport Junction
Salary: Very competitive (DOE)
Contract: Permanent, Full-time
Hours: Monday to Friday

A specialist engineering manufacturer of bespoke/special purpose machinery is looking to recruit an experienced Electrical Wiring Technician to join their workshop build team.
Key responsibilities:
Build and wire electrical control panels from drawings/schematics
Machine wiring and electrical assembly of special purpose machinery
Cable routing/looming, glanding, labelling, terminating and crimping
Carry out continuity/insulation testing and basic fault-finding during build
Work to high workmanship standards and follow H&S processes
Key skills & experience:
Proven control panel wiring experience (industrial machinery environment)
Confident reading electrical schematics/wiring diagrams
Strong attention to detail: neat wiring, cable management, quality finishes
Electrical qualification (NVQ/City & Guilds, 18th Edition) or time-served equivalent
Desirable: experience around PLC panels/instrumentation
Willingness to undertake occasional site work, including the electrical re-assembly of systems at client sites
