Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm

We are working with a welcoming and inclusive SEN secondary school in Rochdale that supports students aged 11-19 with a range of additional needs, including some Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) requirements. The school is committed to providing a nurturing, structured, and positive environment where every learner can achieve their potential.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting young people with special educational needs to make a meaningful difference every day.

What We're Looking For:

A SEN Teaching Assistant who can/has:

Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support to pupils with additional needs, including SEMH.
Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons and differentiated learning activities.
Promote positive behaviour, routines, and emotional regulation strategies.
Help track progress and work closely with teachers, support staff, and families to ensure consistency in support.
Encourage independence, resilience, and confidence in learners across the secondary age range.
Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN and/or SEMH needs (school, care, or youth setting).
A calm, patient, and proactive approach to supporting learning and managing behaviour.
Strong communication and teamwork skills to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
Knowledge of SEN and SEMH strategies, with the ability to adapt to individual needs.
Relevant qualifications in education, care, or support are desirable but not essential.To be eligible you must:

Right to work in the UK.
Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).
