Senior Site Engineer

Senior Site Engineer – East London – £350/day (PAYE) – Long Term

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Site Engineer to join a major infrastructure project based in East London. This is a long-term opportunity working on a significant ducting package (circa 13km of ducting works).

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced engineer who is confident managing site operations, leading daily activity, and working closely with subcontractors while maintaining strong commercial awareness.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage daily morning briefings / toolbox talks

Maintain accurate and up-to-date site diaries and reporting

Oversee and coordinate subcontractors on site

Ensure all works are delivered in line with programme and quality standards

Manage and monitor permit to work (PTW) systems

Maintain a strong focus on health & safety compliance

Work closely with commercial teams, demonstrating commercial awareness on site activities

Supervise and support delivery of ducting works (large-scale utilities / civils)

Requirements

Proven experience as a Senior Site Engineer (or strong Site Engineer stepping up)

Background in civils, utilities, or infrastructure projects

Experience managing subcontractors and site teams

Strong knowledge of permits / PTW systems

Ability to run daily briefings and site coordination meetings

Confident with site documentation and reporting (site diaries)

Demonstrable commercial awareness on projects

Experience with ducting, trenching, or utility installation is highly desirable
