About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Site Manager to join a well-established Further Education College based in Norwich. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in ensuring a safe, secure, and well-maintained learning environment for students, staff, and visitors.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the colleges facilities, overseeing maintenance, health and safety compliance, and supporting operational efficiency across the site.
Key Responsibilities
· Oversee the daily operation, maintenance, and security of the college premises
· Ensure full compliance with health & safety regulations and statutory requirements
· Manage planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules and coordinate repairs
· Supervise contractors and external service providers on site
· Lead and support site staff, including caretaking and facilities teams
· Conduct regular inspections to maintain high standards across buildings and grounds
· Manage budgets related to site operations and maintenance
· Support emergency procedures and act as a key contact for site-related incidents
About You
· Proven experience in a Site Manager / Facilities Manager / Estates role, ideally within education or a similar environment
· Strong working knowledge of health & safety legislation (IOSH/NEBOSH desirable)
· Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
· Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
· Confident in managing contractors and leading a team
· Good communication and stakeholder management skills
· Relevant qualifications in facilities management, building services, or equivalent (desirable)
