The Role
We are seeking experienced MIG Welders to join our manufacturing team and support a busy programme of fabrication and assembly work. This is an excellent opportunity for welders who take pride in producing high-quality work in a fast-paced engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities
*
Carry out MIG welding on mild steel components of varying thicknesses.
*
Work from technical and engineering drawings to manufacture parts accurately.
*
Complete fabrication tasks to a high standard with minimal rework.
*
Inspect your own work and identify any defects or quality concerns.
*
Report production or quality issues to the relevant supervisor.
*
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working area.
What We’re Looking For
Applicants should have either a recognised apprenticeship in welding/fabrication or proven experience in a similar industrial welding role.
Essential skills:
*
Strong MIG welding ability across a range of weld positions.
*
Experience welding mild steel from approximately 1.5mm up to 15mm.
*
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
*
Good attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
*
Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work effectively within a small team.
Working Environment
The successful candidate will join a close-knit production team where flexibility and a willingness to support different tasks are important. Work is carried out to customer and quality requirements, often within demanding timescales.
Hours & Pay
Working Hours
Monday – Thursday
7:30am – 4:30pm
Friday
7:30am – 1:30pm
Pay
£15.46 – £17.88 per hour depending on experience, qualifications, and welding capability.
