Analytical Chemist

Pertemps are currently recruiting for an Analytical Chemist to join a leading chemical manufacturing company based in Basingstoke, this is a full-time permanent position.

Responsibilities as an Analytical Chemist:

Carry out process control and analytical testing of raw materials, intermediates and end products in support of the manufacturing process.

Carry out testing of samples sent by external customers.

Perform calibration, maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment.

Ensure that activities carried out are documented accordingly to ensure high quality standards and traceability.

Provide technical support to the manufacturing team

Assist with the preparation and release of certificates on analysis

Carry out laboratory housekeeping

Prepare analytical standards and reagents

Requirements:

Education or Degree in Chemistry

1 year or more experience in a similar role is advantageous

Excellent computer skills including Excel

Excellent organisational skills

A real interest in Chemistry

Comfortable wearing protective clothing and breathing masks for long periods of time

The Chemist Role:

Rotating shifts

Early – 6am – 2pm

Mid – 9am – 5pm

Late – 11am – 7pm

Starting salary of £28,000

25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
