Information Governance & Compliance Officer
We are recruiting for an Information Governance & Compliance Officer to join a local authority's Procurement and Contract Management team.
This role is ideal for candidates with experience in compliance, governance, information governance, records management, procurement support or public sector administration. You will play a key role in ensuring compliance with legislation, maintaining accurate records, supporting audits and managing sensitive information.
Key Responsibilities:
Managing and maintaining procurement and contract records
Supporting governance and compliance activities across the service
Redacting confidential and sensitive information
Producing reports and maintaining accurate data
Supporting audits, investigations and compliance reviews
Assisting with procurement and contract management systems
Ensuring compliance with GDPR and information governance requirements
Liaising with internal stakeholders and providing advice on compliance matters
Essential Requirements:
Previous experience in compliance, governance, information governance, procurement, contracts or a similar administrative role
Experience of redacting documents is essential
Experience using Adobe Acrobat is essential
Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information
Excellent organisational and communication skills
Strong data management and administrative skills
Desirable:
Experience using Foxit PDF software
Public sector or local authority experience
Knowledge of procurement processes, contracts or information governance legislation
Fully remote working may be considered for the right candidate, although occasional attendance may be required for document scanning and team meetings.
A Basic DBS check will be required for this position
