Learning Support Assistant – Primary SEN Schools
Location: Andover and surrounding areas
Pay Rate: £14.25 per hour
Contract Type: Full-time and part-time opportunities available
Teaching Personnel is seeking committed and nurturing Learning Support Assistants to work within Primary SEN schools across the Andover area.
This position involves supporting pupils with a variety of additional needs, helping them engage in learning and develop socially and emotionally within a positive school environment.
Main Responsibilities
Delivering classroom support to pupils with SEN
Working with individuals and small groups to support learning
Assisting teachers with lesson preparation and classroom activities
Promoting pupil wellbeing, confidence, and independence
Supporting behaviour management strategies where required
Candidate Requirements
Enthusiastic and patient approach to working with children
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Previous experience in education, care, or support settings is desirable
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Compliance
Candidates must have a Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service or be prepared to obtain one prior to employment.
