Support Engineer – Permanent Role
Location: Lincoln
Salary: £26,650 per annum
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm (37.5 hours per week, including 1-hour unpaid lunch break)

My client is a Lincoln-based organisation operating within an exciting and high-growth market. Due to continued expansion, they are looking to appoint a Support Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.
This is a newly created role within the business, offering an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about IT support and looking to build a long-term career within a successful and employee-owned organisation.
You will play a key role in delivering first-class technical support to customers, assisting with cloud-based products, hardware installations, internal IT projects, and supporting the wider team as the business continues to grow.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide 1st and 2nd line technical support across a range of cloud-based products
* Support customers remotely and assist with hardware installations on-site
* Troubleshoot issues across desktops, laptops, servers, and mobile devices
* Escalate complex issues to 3rd line support teams and developers
* Assist with testing, documentation, and system improvements
* Provide internal IT support to colleagues
* Support and manage internal and external IT projects
* Deliver excellent customer service and maintain strong client relationships
About You
We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in technology and a passion for problem-solving. This role would suit:
* A graduate, college leaver, or school leaver looking to start a career in IT support
* An experienced Helpdesk or Support Engineer looking for their next career opportunity
* Someone keen to develop their technical skills within a growing organisation
You will ideally have experience or knowledge of:
* Microsoft Office 365
* Windows 10/11 environments
* Windows Server 2016–2022
* Supporting servers, laptops, and mobile devices
* Setting up desktops and laptops
* Troubleshooting and resolving IT issues
* Providing excellent written and verbal communication
