About The Role
We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school setting in Rugby. This is a rewarding opportunity to support children and young people with special educational needs, helping them to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
You will be working closely with pupils who have a range of needs, including autism, communication difficulties, and complex learning needs, providing both classroom and 1:1 support.
Key Responsibilities
Support pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis
Assist with the delivery of tailored learning activities
Help manage behaviour in line with school policies
Support students with additional needs, including personal care where required
Encourage independence, confidence, and social skills
Work collaboratively with teachers and wider support staff
About You
Experience working with SEN (school, care, or support setting)
A patient, caring, and resilient attitude
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to build positive relationships with pupils
A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
