Senior / Principal RF Engineer - Permanent, Hybrid (Cambridge area)

Pemanent | No Visa Sponsorship available

Are you passionate about pushing the boundaries of RF technology? Whether it's advanced robotic systems, sensors for autonomous drones, mobile ad-hoc radio networks, emergency service communications, IoT sensors, or even airborne and space-based radar - you'll have the opportunity to work on projects that are as varied as they are technically challenging.

This is an opportunity to join a leading UK technology consultancy that thrives on innovation. No two projects are ever the same - if you're an adaptable, curious engineer who enjoys solving complex problems and bringing new ideas to life, this could be the ideal next step.

The Role

We're seeking an experienced RF Electronics Engineer to play a key role in the design, development, and testing of new RF-based systems and products. You'll work closely with a multi-disciplinary team, turning cutting-edge concepts into working prototypes and commercial solutions.

You'll also have the confidence to communicate complex technical ideas clearly to clients and colleagues from non-technical backgrounds.

Our facilities include state-of-the-art labs with advanced RF test and measurement equipment - spectrum and network analysers, anechoic chambers, and more - all designed to help you deliver your best work.

Key Skills & Experience

MEng (or equivalent) in Electronic Engineering or related discipline

6+ years' post-graduate experience designing RF-based circuits (e.g. radios, radars)

Proven experience taking designs from concept through to verification

Strong microwave, RF and analogue design and simulation skills

Experience in amplifier, filter, and frequency synthesiser design

Desirable (not essential):

Knowledge of radio and/or radar systems

Team leadership or line management experience

Digital circuit design experience

mm-wave frequency design

What's on Offer

Competitive salary and package (level and title dependent on experience)

Stimulating, varied work across multiple sectors

Hybrid working and flexible hours

Supportive, collaborative culture with regular social activities

Career progression across technical, commercial, and managerial paths

Full support for professional development and training

About the Environment

You'll be part of a highly skilled, multidisciplinary team working on real-world applications in defence, security, IoT, healthcare, automotive, and beyond. The workplace is based just south of Cambridge, offering easy access to the city and a vibrant, innovative engineering community
