Vehicle Technician

We are recruiting on behalf of a reputable automotive dealer group in Treforest, who is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join their busy Service Department. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced motor trade professional to develop their career within a well-established, multi-franchise dealer group with over 40 years of presence in South Wales.

Starting salary approximately £31,000, dependent on experience and current earnings
Bonus scheme offering additional monthly earnings between £250 and £500
Four-day work week: Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 6:00pm, with either Monday or Friday off

Carry out MOT testing to Ministry of Transport standards for customer vehicles
Diagnose and perform mechanical repairs and servicing
Support the workshop team to ensure smooth workflow and high standards of service
Maintain accurate documentation of repair work and MOT testing results
Liaise effectively with colleagues to deliver excellent customer service
Assist in vehicle inspections and promote vehicle safety standardsRequirements of the Vehicle Technician:

Valid Class 4 and Class 7 MOT testing licence
Active UK driving licence with minimal points
Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician within the motor trade
Confident in diagnosing and repairing various vehicle faults
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent communication skills
