Our client, a leading commercial vehicle dealer group with multiple centres across Southwest England, is seeking a qualified HGV Technician to join their Avonmouth workshop. This is an excellent opportunity for skilled professionals looking to advance their career within a reputable organisation. Benefits:
Salary between £20-23 per hour, depending on experience and shift patterns
Optional overtime paid at time and a half
Rotating early/late shift rota (week one: 7:00am–3:30pm; week two: 3:30pm-12:00am or 1:30pm-10:00pm)
22 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays

Full manufacturer-approved training programmes
Death in service (life assurance) at three times salary
Refer a friend scheme (£2,000 for fully qualified Vehicle Technicians, £500 for others)

Regular staff events and team activitiesDuties of a HGV Technician:
Complete all service and maintenance work to the highest standards within manufacturers' timeframes
Conduct comprehensive diagnosis and repairs of heavy vehicle malfunctions
Support colleagues with technical issues and innovations as a HGV Technician
Document diagnosis results, repairs, services, and safety inspections accurately
Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures
Supply professional performance to maximise customer satisfaction and retention
Support continuous technical development through ongoing training and developmentRequirements of a HGV Technician:
Qualified to IMI/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
Several years of relevant experience beyond qualification
Ability to produce high-quality work in a busy workshop environment
Strong team player with a proactive approach
Good organisational and communication skills
