About the role
We are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Programme Manager to lead a large-scale migration of private datacentre workloads to Microsoft Azure. This is a hands-on delivery role for someone with a strong background in infrastructure, networking, Firewalls, systems and/or cloud engineering.

You will take ownership of the migration programme from planning through to cutover and post-migration support. You will coordinate engineering squads, architects, Product Owners, application teams and other stakeholders to ensure a smooth, secure and timely migration.

Your responsibilities
Lead the end-to-end migration of private datacentre workloads to Microsoft Azure, including Windows VMs and Microsoft SQL Server databases.
Define and manage migration waves, workload sequencing, testing, cutover planning and post-migration support.
Drive delivery across infrastructure streams such as Firewalls, networking, routing, compute, storage, security, observability and Azure landing zones.
Coordinate technical squads, architects, Product Owners and project stakeholders to ensure alignment and delivery progress.
Translate migration plans into Agile epics, features and user stories.
Manage risks, dependencies, priorities and stakeholder expectations throughout the programme.
Report progress, risks and delivery status to technical leadership and senior management.

What we are looking for
10+ years of hands-on experience in infrastructure, networking, systems or cloud engineering.
Proven experience leading large-scale datacentre or cloud migration programmes.
Strong Microsoft Azure experience, including landing zones, environment provisioning and security controls.
Experience migrating Windows VMs and Microsoft SQL Server databases to Azure.
Solid understanding of infrastructure topics such as compute, storage, networking, DNS, load balancing, backup and recovery.
Experience with Agile delivery, backlog management and traditional programme governance.
Strong project management, risk management and stakeholder management skills.
Excellent written and spoken English.
A proactive, pragmatic and delivery-focused mindset.

Nice to have
Experience in complex Agile environments.
Experience working with Product Owners, squads and technical leadership teams.
Familiarity with OKR-based prioritisation.
