Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference in the lives of young people?
We are seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants available to work on a long term basis within an Mainstream Primary School in a SEN Provision in Braintree.
The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will:
Support pupils across primary with a range of age groups and learning abilities.
Work closely with pupils presenting ASD, ADHD, SEMH needs, additional learning needs and behavioural challenges.
Build positive, supportive relationships that encourage engagement in learning.
Assist with behaviour management strategies and create a safe, structured environment.
Support teachers in delivering lessons and provide one-to-one or small group interventions.
About You
Essential: Prior experience working within a PRU (Pupil Referral Unit), Alternative Provision, or similar setting.
Proven experience supporting pupils with SEN and behavioural difficulties.
A calm, resilient, and empathetic approach to supporting challenging behaviour.
Flexibility to adapt to different age groups and settings within the provision
