Our subcontractor client supporting Water and Environment projects in London are seeking a Graduate Engineer to join their Stratford based team on a permanent basis.
Our client are a specialist subcontractor supporting major end clients in the water and environmental sectors. With a growing portfolio of infrastructure projects, including work with Thames Water and HS2, they are continuing to expand their teams and offer excellent opportunities for early-career professionals to develop within a dynamic and supportive environment.
They are seeking a motivated Graduate Engineer (Civil) to join the team based in Stratford. This role will primarily support Thames Water UV lining schemes and HS2 projects, working closely with engineers and project managers to deliver high-quality infrastructure solutions.
This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate looking to build a long-term career in civil engineering within a growing company that offers genuine progression opportunities.
Responsibilities
Support engineers and project managers in the planning and delivery of civil engineering projects
Assist with Thames Water UV lining projects and HS2-related works
Help coordinate site activities, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to specification
Contribute to the preparation of technical documentation, reports, and method statements
Monitor project progress and support cost and programme tracking
Liaise with internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliers as required
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
Attend site visits where necessary to gain practical experience and support delivery
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
Degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline (essential)
Strong interest in the water and infrastructure sectors
Good understanding of core civil engineering principles
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work full-time from the Stratford office (5 days per week)
Must have the right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available)
Full UK driving licence (desirable but not essential)
