About the Role
As a Waste Management Loader, you will work as part of a collection crew responsible for the safe and efficient collection of household and commercial waste, recycling, and green waste across the borough.
Key Responsibilities
* Collect household, recycling, and garden waste in accordance with scheduled routes.
* Assist the driver and collection crew in maintaining efficient waste collection services.
* Ensure waste and recycling containers are handled safely and returned appropriately.
* Follow health and safety procedures at all times.
* Report any issues, hazards, or incidents to supervisors.
* Deliver excellent customer service when interacting with residents and businesses.
* Support the council's environmental and recycling objectives.
What We're Looking For
* A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* Good level of physical fitness, as the role involves manual handling and outdoor work in all weather conditions.
* Awareness of health and safety practices.
* Reliable, punctual, and committed to providing high-quality public services.
* Previous experience in waste management, recycling, environmental services, or a similar role is desirable but not essential.
