Cnc Setter Operator

CNC Setter/Operator - Night shift

Shift: Monday - Thursday, 4pm - 4am

Salary: Up to £20 per hour

Location: Thetford

TEC Partners are currently recruiting for an experienced CNC Setter/Operator to join a growing precision engineering company based in Thetford.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled CNC machinist looking to join a stable and well-established manufacturing environment with long-term career prospects.

The Role

The position will involve setting and operating CNC Turning machines to manufacture precision engineered components to customer specifications and engineering drawings.

Key responsibilities include:

* Setting and operating CNC Turning Centres

* Tooling selection and machine set-up

* Adjusting offsets and machine parameters

* Producing components to tight tolerances

* Performing quality inspection checks

* Reading and interpreting engineering drawings

* Supporting continuous production output

* Maintaining health & safety standards within the workshop

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

* Previous experience as a CNC Setter/Operator

* CNC Turning / Lathe experience

* Experience with Fanuc, Siemens or Mitsubishi controls

* Strong understanding of engineering drawings and tolerances

* Experience using measuring equipment such as micrometers and verniers

* Experience working within a manufacturing or production environment

Desirable Experience

* DMG MORI or Citizen machinery

* Multi-axis turning

* Live tooling

* Minor program editing

* Continuous improvement / production optimisation experience
