We are working with a advanced engineering organisation operating within a high-reliability microelectronics manufacturing environment. They are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support the development, introduction, and optimisation of advanced manufacturing processes for complex electronic assemblies.

Responsibilities

* Lead selection of materials and development of manufacturing processes for new and existing products

* Act as a technical SME across manufacturing, engineering, and customer interfaces

* Support the introduction of new products into production, ensuring smooth transition from development

* Work closely with Process Engineering on development work packages and process definition

* Produce and maintain manufacturing documentation (work instructions, BOMs, process specifications)

* Support product and process qualification activities in collaboration with Quality teams

* Engage with suppliers to assess and implement new manufacturing capabilities

* Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve yield, quality, and efficiency

* Provide clear technical updates and progress reporting to stakeholders

Requirements

* Degree in Engineering or equivalent industry experience

* Experience in manufacturing support, process engineering, or technology development

* Strong understanding of manufacturing materials and electronic assembly processes

* Experience within aerospace, defence, semiconductor, microelectronics, or similar regulated/high-reliability industries

* Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and standard MS Office tools

* Strong analytical and problem-solving ability with excellent attention to detail

* Ability to work effectively in cross-functional engineering teams

* Eligible for Security Clearance (or ability to obtain)

Desirable

* Experience with microelectronic packaging or cleanroom environments

* Knowledge of industry quality standards (e.g. ISO / AS9100)

* Experience producing technical documentation and delivering training
