12-Month Contract | Starting September | Via Aspire People
Aspire People are recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to join a supportive special school in the Newport area, working with pupils aged 5-18 with a range of Additional Learning Needs (ALN).
This is a long-term opportunity starting in September, ideal for someone passionate about supporting children and young people with SEND.
The Role:
Support pupils 1:1 and in small groups
Assist with tailored learning activities
Promote engagement, independence, and positive behaviour
Work closely with teachers and support staff
Requirements:
Minimum 6 months' experience in a regulated childcare/education setting OR
Relevant childcare/education qualification (Level 2/3 or equivalent)
Calm, patient, and committed approach
SEND experience desirable but not essential
