Renewable Energy Engineer / PV Installer
Location: Bodmin, Cornwall (with travel across UK sites)
Salary: DOE

ARM is recruiting on behalf of a leading UK renewable energy developer for a Renewable Energy Engineer / PV Installer to support the installation, operation, and maintenance of solar PV systems across multiple sites nationwide.
This is a field-based role with a Cornwall base, requiring flexibility to work away from home for extended periods and travel to projects across the UK.
Role Overview
You will join an established renewable energy delivery team supporting the installation of solar PV systems and undertaking operations and maintenance activities across a range of commercial and utility-scale sites. The role involves hands-on technical work in a fast-paced environment with significant travel and site-based activity.
Key Responsibilities
Install solar PV systems across domestic, commercial, and utility-scale projects.
Carry out operations and maintenance activities on renewable energy assets.
Work on-site across various UK locations, often for extended periods.
Support site setup, preparation, and safe delivery of installation works.
Ensure all work is completed in line with health, safety, and quality standards.
Collaborate with site teams, supervisors, and project managers to ensure smooth delivery.
Follow technical drawings, specifications, and installation procedures accurately.
Essential Requirements
Previous experience in renewables, roofing, electrical, or general construction.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
Methodical, accurate, and process-driven approach to work.
Full UK driving licence.
Flexibility to travel nationwide and work away from home regularly.
Willingness to work extended hours, including evenings or weekends where required.
Desirable Qualifications & Tickets
Previous solar PV installation experience.
Asbestos Awareness certification.
Telehandler (loading shovel) qualification.
MEWP 3a & 3b certification.
Working at Heights certification.
Manual Handling training.
Level 2 Health & Safety in the Workplace.
Valid CSCS card.
