Overview
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods from our warehouse to various locations, ensuring timely and safe delivery. Duties
Operate delivery vans or vehicles in a safe and efficient manner.
Load and unload goods from the vehicle, ensuring items are secured properly.
Navigate routes effectively to ensure timely deliveries while adhering to traffic regulations.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures and any discrepancies.
Communicate with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs promptly.
Assist with warehouse duties as needed, including inventory management and organisation of stock.
Requirements
Valid driving licence with a clean driving record; experience as a van driver is preferred.
Previous experience in commercial driving or delivery roles is advantageous.
Ability to perform heavy lifting, as some packages may be bulky or weighty.
Strong communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently.
Familiarity with local roads and navigation systems is beneficial.
Flexibility in working hours may be required to meet delivery demands.
