SEN Teaching Assistant - September 2026 - Cheltenham
Are you a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant looking for a long-term role from September 2026? We are seeking an enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to work full-time in one of our partner schools in Cheltenham, supporting pupils with additional needs.
The Role - Responsibilities:
Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support to pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
Assist the class teacher in adapting lessons to meet individual learning needs
Support pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural development
Implement Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and individual support strategies
Help create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff
Support classroom management and encourage positive behaviour
We're Looking For:
Experienced Teaching Assistants or individuals with SEN support experience
A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
Flexibility and reliability in a school environment
