Maintenance Planner

Kinetic PLC is recruiting a Maintenance Inventory Planner for a leading manufacturing business in Groby. This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing team and play a key role in improving inventory performance, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement across the site.

You will take ownership of inventory management, reporting, and optimisation activities, working closely with Supply Chain, Finance, Production, and Global Inventory teams to ensure stock levels meet customer demand while achieving business targets.

Hours & Contract

* Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm (37.5 hours)
* 12-month maternity cover contract
* £21.19 per hour
* Potential for extension

Key Responsibilities

* Manage and optimise inventory levels, stock turns, and days-on-hand targets.
* Lead inventory reporting for site and business leadership teams.
* Improve stock accuracy through cycle counting and variance analysis.
* Manage material obsolescence and disposal processes.
* Support demand and supply planning activities.
* Deliver inventory reduction and improvement projects.
* Coordinate site-wide stock takes.
* Drive process improvements, root cause analysis, and reporting automation

What we are looking for:

* Experience within a manufacturing environment (ideally 3+ years).
* Strong understanding of supply chain, inventory control, and planning processes.
* Advanced Excel skills, including Power Query.
* Strong analytical and communication skills.
* Experience with Lean manufacturing principles.
* SAP experience is desirable.
